Women of the Rodeo (2015-Present)
This project investigates the undercurrents and rituals associated with the American Rodeo and the ethos of American Cowboys and Cowgirls. Once a tradition formed to allow working cowboys to test their skills against each other has now created a cultural identity in the US; patriotism and nostalgia mixed with excitement and danger form its distinct ideology. These ideas continue to define a large population's specific cultural character in The United States of America today. The marvelous mayhem, the jumble of people with traditional views added to faded notions of Americana help this custom remain as it continues to pass down through the generations.
